Still on Wishes

I'm so in love with this song by Emi Fujita. Having heard only this song by her, i already feel like going for her concert this October. I feel happy and hopeful just listening to it, rid of all my morbid thoughts and depressing emotions ( which i think must have been caused by my reading of Prozac Nation). The innocent and childlike quality of it brings me back to the time when i was a little girl. The girl ignorant of the world, believing of Santa, hopeful that wishes do come true.
I wish that i could be happy
I wish that my loved ones could be happy
I wish that i believe in love
I wish that my dad would recover, my mum healthy
I wish there was no evil, no such thing as death.

But they are only wishes- wishes that are impossible, at least for me.
Nonetheless, I'm definately going to get her CD and some others like Lisa Ono and Kevin Kern which i have yearned for a really long long time. I wish that i could go for her concert!!
